The IPSAT™ family of products is being developed to reduce resistance to antibiotics administered in hospitals, The most common class of antibiotics used in that setting is the beta lactam class of antibiotics. IPSAT™ products are therefore beneficial for a broad range of patients, especially those with chronic infections, patients requiring prophylactic antibiotic cover prior to surgical procedures, patients undergoing surgery for complicated open fractures, immunocompromised patients who are predisposed to superinfection due to their primary illness or treatment.
